Games Connect Asia Pacific (GCAP) is Australia’s premier professional development and networking event for the game development industry, catering to a range of disciplines. Since it’s reboot in 2010, GCAP has grown and attracted an engaged audience and esteemed speakers from around the world.
In 2020 I was one of the speakers for GCAP, doing an updated version of my lecture on written vs spoken dialogue for games: ‘Finding the best voice for your characters’. This lecture was be pre-recorded and broadcast during the conference on the 6th of October. Afterwards, we had a very interesting discussion online about some of the subjects of the talk.

My lecture can be found on their YouTube page, but if you’re interested in this subject I’d suggest watching the version I did of this talk during Game Happens instead, since that one was live.
