(Not so) Random Things

MUSIC

Music is important in everything I do, and many of my projects have incorporated this as well. In the past I’ve worked on opera, musical theatre productions, dance performances, and large events for singers and musicians in stadiums, theatres and even a derelict airbase.

I also have a degree in choir conducting and won a songwriting contest in the past. Plus, I’m the co-host of The Nirvana Podcast!

IMPROV THEATRE

I’ve been doing improv theatre for many years, and have also taught a lot of groups longform and short-form techniques. I use impov in my immersive work, both in working with actors as well as in staying flexible with my own texts and design. In general, I think not being afraid of a blank page/space/moment is a trait that’s useful to any artist.

I’m also proud to have been part of the birth of the Werewolves improv show, which was developed in Amsterdam, NL, several years ago and has since then traveled the world.

WORKSHOPS AND LECTURES

Sharing knowledge and ideas is important, which is why I love giving workshops and lectures. Over the years I have contributed to events and organisations like AdventureX, ComicsXGames, Game Happens, Creative Campfire, Indiecade, Games Connect Asia Pacific, ECGC and many others. Subjects ranged from writing for audio-only games to gameplay in theatre & film and leadership in games.
