‘Trailblazer’ at Cannes Immersive

The VR experience ‘Trailblazer’, which I worked on as a narrative designer, has been selected for the immersive track at the upcoming Cannes Filmfestival.
This groundbreaking VR experience (in a previous incarnation called ‘Mrs. Benz’) was developed by @Singer Studios and is starring the amazing Daisy Ridley as Bertha Benz.

Premiering at one of the world’s leading film festivals is a major milestone — and a huge moment for immersive storytelling!

Case Study Narrative Design in Theatre published

Case Study Narrative Design in Theatre published

At the request of ACuTe Culture Testbeds for Performing Arts and New Technology, whose primary goal is to enhance innovations in dramaturgy, stage design, and audience engagement, dramaturgs Paulien Geerlings, Nina van Tongeren and me wrote an extensive case study about the use of narrative design in theatre.
‘Engage—Test—Change: Designing New Audience Relations’ has been published in the OAMK Journal and describes our process in developing a digital dramaturgy for the acclaimed theatre production ‘Rabbit Hole‘.
You can read the whole study here.
Recently, ‘Rabbit Hole’ was also awarded with a Dutch Zilveren Krekel 2024 ‘Most impressive achievement in youth theatre’ for digital scenography.
