For Imagine Filmfestival, I have been public space curator and programmer of the games and VR selection – also called ‘Imagine Expanded’, since 2017. Together with another colleague I select the VR and game selection for the festival, ranging from 360 films and regular pc games well into roomscale and pervasive interactive experiences.
Next to this, I also coach HKU gamedesign students who design one or more games, specifically for the festival. I coach them throughout the entire 5-month trajectory, from start to finish. We sometimes also have students of audio, fashion and spatial design workign on projects for the festival, who are all coached by me as well.
Note: from 2022, I will hand most of my work for Imagine over to a new curator, and my involvement with the festival will slowly end because I am not stationed in the Netherlands regularly enough any more.
